Last days versus end times!
Throughout my life I have heard many controversial statements regarding the end times and countless people that do not really see the difference between end times and last days. There is plenty of scripture that speaks of both, yet there seems to still be a lot of confusion over this matter. Let's take a deeper look at this.
In Matthew chp 24, Christ speaks about the beginning of sorrows and the things that must take place before the end comes. He references to the birth pains and the beginning of sorrows, but He also says to not be deceived, cause this is the beginning of sorrows, but the end is not yet. These things have been happening and increasing in sevarity since the time of Christ, which is why I believe many have been confused between last days and end times.
Mt 24;4-8 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Now with this in mind, we take a deeper approach and look at this in more detail.
Lots of people will say that we have been living the end times since the time of Christ and since Christ Himself spoke of the signs to look out for, I would have to agree that this is true. However, if we look deeply, we can mostly conclude that this is very true. But how do we tell the difference between the increasing signs of the end times compared to the signs of the last days? One of my favorite references to this phenomenal time in the Bible would have to be. 2 Timothy 3 KJV This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Not only does the Bible specifically mention the words "in the last days", but it also mentions the actions of people in these times. There is a huge sense of "self-centered" actions that grows daily throughout the world and it seems that it gets worse daily. The culminating changes of people in the last few years alone are proportionally measured to equally fit this scriptural reference. As actions alone, increased with the other warnings of nation against nation, wars and rumors of wars and all that is happening all around us, It leaves very little doubt that these things are happening. We could dive into a whole big picture of scripture that references to the end and what is to come, but those are left for other blogs. We are living it in the flesh today and if eyes open up, you will see this to be true. Stand strong and affirm your faith, cause we are knocking on the door. until next time, God bless!
